Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

9 E/ K8 o" a- }$ v l- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
! _1 A* S1 Q) P3 q (ages 6 to 15)
" ^) l) M2 r7 Z6 c. Q- Recruit children for summer programs
& O) j5 @% g) ~& O- Recruit volunteers for summer programs
# L. ^* M& B2 D7 O- Record keeping
! q5 o$ _; [# ?. \, W" \7 U- Provide orientation for parents: i3 |& p/ V* i' D$ s8 z
- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency/ ~% U7 @" W3 D2 A1 P* X: f4 O
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager+ _8 q1 k. `' ^! Y
! W) R$ x* {7 ]* L( H9 y) nQualifications:# ?& G" I% |9 {8 ^6 K
- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education- T5 e0 N; D: T6 N& N6 e
- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
% `: T$ ^! ?8 l% @6 ~ h, m) N- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills6 }7 Y, t( Q; a" }4 w q, x
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities, z5 ?1 ^) _7 X
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese0 h* l9 w4 ]. ~( m
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities, f0 Z5 d$ \! b6 V
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning)
+ `8 q& X1 h$ d' r) ] and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
