Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009# c; l1 s/ d5 G% P0 L5 h

8 ^9 x; E0 s2 I) J- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program

2 J3 y$ W+ S8 r) o6 H8 I- Recruit children for summer programs
2 O0 U" R7 l4 U* W- Recruit volunteers for summer programs

- Provide orientation for parents) g/ ^7 o8 k% x: Q O8 H7 b
- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency

' @3 ]* Z$ A3 ]# W2 ]- o- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
! p# U1 u* L( d! y3 v% H- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children3 e/ q/ g1 v4 e) Y7 c- S/ N
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
- X) _9 o9 o( C' m) Z! O2 X0 Q. @- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities' x* g' Z6 C! A8 l, Y5 V4 B
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese0 J' ~" ^, h' @" d( M3 `! x
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities% Z8 b9 \/ n3 w0 ^
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, j/ M* \6 s# O( F! n& Z6 z' o
- Returning student (should return to school after summer)5 N5 k0 ^, Y3 c1 d
- Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Other Information:7 ?5 a/ J. d) h* {. R2 f. q
- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning) R% O/ |, C/ F& _- ` J' o
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
6 x; q5 ]/ n5 e- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
