Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

Responsibilities:
1 H- u7 \7 [1 L5 w- N3 j) b6 B- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program

- Recruit children for summer programs: a7 |; {4 a5 `. E2 ?; U& `% l
- Recruit volunteers for summer programs4 H' h% I1 H6 h7 j; Q/ U9 `
- Record keeping8 y1 M& C) |& p, e; Z; _3 I3 B
- Provide orientation for parents
& [- b! {$ j" u8 ^2 ?- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency

Qualifications:
6 N* p" ?* \8 D- B; s- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education, f! `5 w2 L3 [* q( Y3 J* q
- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
0 Y' I" ^% a0 u8 g2 t- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
* s! D# T$ B0 y" A a/ r/ D- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities, t ]7 [9 M4 C) {
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese0 ?9 x4 C# D- R- S% Y( N
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
1 P- M- N% p- ?' M; M. o- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning) - S4 N, Y) k D! r
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
