Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

Responsibilities:& }' a3 a$ M; h; } k
- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
* I+ r R, o6 b (ages 6 to 15)

- Recruit volunteers for summer programs: P2 @! [# l v
- Record keeping6 E* r! m; a9 {- N7 I
- Provide orientation for parents

- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager$ Z) B2 ~$ v" r9 ]; j

- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
) s. u+ g# Q. D0 p8 _0 u e- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children" Z/ a& L9 E2 m- a- i' ~& r
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
" N, H" }0 K" i- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities+ m' K' w4 d& j+ N
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese0 I, G7 S( ?+ X
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
3 ?; _- q; s& y9 v- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* z! w: z' G" Z2 F- p$ f- Returning student (should return to school after summer)

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning) H9 I! Y" O8 A

- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
