Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2009

% k% Y7 h9 u4 O( G& R- Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the $ K3 P* q/ N5 _0 f$ B6 j
preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps3 Z& V |6 q7 }( y3 N
- Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
5 Y- J; e; W, X1 r: Y4 W8 h- Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
2 ^1 z i/ \! Z5 b5 n- R7 U2 j: `- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program

- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood
) H6 ^3 N" u. V. C0 m Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education% p" W) e, x' o' T& u$ x
- Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children0 B1 C% A- v6 S. X* z7 d
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
9 A. |! D8 v' m- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
! q# M) n8 {1 a; }9 q- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
: F7 ~1 h+ X3 |1 K4 s/ N) z& G3 O- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
3 q7 C0 ]% I0 N- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Other Information:: T7 L9 A6 ~# U& }0 f! o/ x
- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning) . V z6 X( j- B' \# _& m
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)7 d \7 ~6 R# {) `
- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009. S% ?: k$ n+ @
