Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2009

Responsibilities:' t- m5 M7 t7 X" F
- Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the : ^0 k5 p5 R& q: x
preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps A9 t, \8 U+ h, E
- Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
9 ^4 g# u" t; F7 f2 X* s" H- Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
/ I4 Y) R, C k4 H- y9 ?- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program 4 R5 H; v) q3 k% H- B C: O* h0 m

3 R; X( \# X4 a7 A4 z, \- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood 3 {( a9 [' P6 ]/ ]
Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
4 C1 y7 p+ Q7 o) V- Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
; E: S" V# S; r* S- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
; N8 O! {, ^7 Y4 V/ t5 t( z- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
" F, j+ s2 |7 d" F- ~- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
7 Q. d" e* @6 o$ T- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities1 b! L H& q1 g$ F6 c+ g# Z
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning) $ _2 F& E6 H; O: i3 V
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)1 h6 t4 R9 Q0 U% c
- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
