Youth Summer Program Assistant, 2009

Responsibilities:
-        Support the Youth Program Coordinator in the preparation and
        implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
% l' E' `$ n+ Y. x( x-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Youth Program Coordinator

2 ?* s: h$ R" @-        Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood
) j% v) Q6 P- a        Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
+ M' }) U: _  A3 A3 @-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
  T+ G! X7 t$ h8 G; N-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
* P) U8 u% s7 U- F6 p* I-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
2 G, d2 s) P; i$ O8 `; P! }: \0 E-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
0 R: [* A5 l* D+ }-        Returning student (should return to school after summer)
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning)
        and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)

Salary
: I8 d  D; p) }: _1 G3 |3 r-        $14.00 per hour
