Position title: Community Development Worker , S3 U& P1 H# o
Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

! r% L% p! i6 i! E9 I- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to " r: g5 w7 \6 z3 q! q, T
provide services for Chinese community
0 j" G* E$ G6 [8 T3 K- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population , E+ D0 n% B- {5 L, L5 A r
access to mainstream services
5 A* E7 G: |9 ]! l* |- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
2 L1 O/ z, V- d$ b$ U0 Q( w9 a5 g( u+ ~7 g social services& j! O$ _7 R1 {- T8 F+ Z
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies9 R! K9 d" d; [
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members+ U3 c( P9 F a4 d
- update ASSIST website- {. V/ U( b! |( F0 B
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre' u( ]) W, j- q1 v* k
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
( Q2 p4 ?* ?5 \8 Z- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time; z2 O, D2 S- z2 l& S- f( l
- update membership database
, w3 b! _( E" y- n/ w- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
% {) V+ C% S( Q4 u: e- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
/ ^5 N6 R" u9 n" H; ^! c experience and education , R4 F3 C4 c3 E0 S' n/ _
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
1 G& A9 u0 n% o% J- experience in community work and immigrant services& h+ C" q; d& T/ h' C7 V
- experience in website update/design
5 }: M3 d1 B x0 D- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
