Job Description

, _7 v% `2 u/ F& {3 z) y provide services for Chinese community
2 ~) ?6 ~( b0 x: c' w& L; B- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
) }3 V4 h7 ~+ y! F, a* z access to mainstream services
3 @- ~# B7 e: @0 E# {6 {- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
1 A. V" s" V% H: e6 X social services
0 z1 r" D1 q! E# }$ |% A- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies8 v$ ~- M# M& e1 F. R& ]
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members! Y0 p! D& a7 P6 k6 K, _0 O
- update ASSIST website
/ ]$ v6 e: X2 a! R: R: p/ U- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
" A5 Z% C- J+ Q5 u6 g7 X4 d0 z- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services4 A$ u& Y: Y- @2 O: p( k
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)2 u9 H* D" \; Q }

Qualifications
+ j) h. I$ n8 P* o- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of 5 l6 N9 S# S6 ^' r, U1 h! a3 O* l
experience and education
* @3 R, }3 c; A7 D8 `- good oral and written Chinese and English skills5 O1 f0 O0 x2 J+ M" v9 P, }
- experience in community work and immigrant services4 {( L5 t$ x$ q4 y5 y5 `
- experience in website update/design
4 |- J' c$ p6 S8 j \$ T2 {' R- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset k# h6 |0 r& K: Y
