Position title: Community Development Worker : y; v+ Q7 M6 C1 G
Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to

access to mainstream services
* X. u X0 T& S2 i9 U- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
+ g2 u9 t0 H3 M% Q3 n social services, H7 e! O8 F9 l3 s, r0 w' b. O
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies% i: s" B- d5 \: o
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members, W: t/ r) ? N+ Z1 H1 \6 M7 Y' n
- update ASSIST website

' g/ V8 x/ Q3 c' _& u5 [# r- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- update membership database

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of ' Y! U: D. R8 J" K; u( y
experience and education . x7 J) V: }* O3 T
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
1 d2 n( U. m7 a i9 c; e- experience in community work and immigrant services
% G, N6 G' d$ c- experience in website update/design' a8 e6 Y5 ?3 S+ b8 ` A
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
