CSSA Spring Trip to Jasper on May 21, 22, and 23.

CSSA will organize a Spring Trip to Jasper from May 21 to 23, 2005.
Activities include sight viewing, canoeing at Jasper Park Lodge, and
hot
spring at Miette Hot Springs.

- R1 s2 J& E& D9 U% F' T2 i3 gWe'll stay there for two nights. Accommodations are arranged by CSSA.

) b: z! A, t0 n. o) N- m-        Ride to Jasper by mini-van.(7 people per minivan)
-        Canoeing at Jasper Park Lodge.($35 per canoe per hour and $25 per
half
hour)(Each canoe can hold 3 people at most.)
, s* r" p% w. u' `( q-        Hot spring in Jasper for the evening.(Usually hot spring costs about
  |, G2 ?' N# R" k( g4 T/ o$6 per
person. So it's not that expensive. And after knowing how many people
) k; q4 R2 n8 }will go,

not going, you could also have a little visit in Jasper town while

-        Stays the night in Jasper.

Day Two
-        Sight Viewing in Japer: We'll go Maligne Lake first thing in the
# M" s+ L$ e$ @morning .
* K% i2 x. T8 D" U( l- CAnd we'll do the Malign Boat Cruises.(I'll take us 90 minutes round
' p) S8 t4 {; ]2 C$ A% ]trip. It's
+ r7 I. m7 G9 Q: @3 F% g$35 per adult and $17.5 per child(6-12years old)). If you haven't done
* l9 p7 E- N* Z. Pthis
' l# a, s6 h4 l2 [. rbefore, I strongly recommend you to do so.
-        Stays the night in Jasper and no activities in day 2's evening so
that you
1 f4 \4 y  R1 u7 C+ k0 E/ e& ccould visit the town by yourself, or go to the bar and have a drink or

Day Three
-        Sight-viewing in Jasper continues.
-        Ride home in the early afternoon since we need to return the rented
: r. f2 K6 r/ I& mvan on
time.

Things to Bring:
-        Travel needs.
-        Swim suit if you want to do Hot Spring.
-       Sun glasses and sun screen to protect your eyes and skin.
-       Camera. It's beautiful in the mountain in the spring.
* w5 h: @! s( e. o! I5 }-       Bring some warm clothes since it's still cool in the mountain
/ @( K: s+ d% t* I" I) h+ |in the
late May. And we also will go to the Columbia Ice Field so warm clothes
and
shoes are definitely needed.
-       Wear comfort shoes cause we'll do lots of walking and of course
drving.(But you won't need to worry about the driving).
0 `: m$ g2 v3 u0 `-       We won't take care of the food for you, but we'll stop at
places where
there are food at lunch or dinner hour, so you could have something to
eat.
8 W( y4 Z( E0 d9 }4 m4 RFeel free to bring your own food. (Like instant noodles.) (There is an
IGA in
Jasper, so you could always buy food there if you need.)

! F& |5 R$ g; |/ U5 {1 B) S- W- b' GCost: $160, this price includes your share of car rentals, gas,
two-night
accommodation in jasper, and national park entrance tickets, and it
excludes
9 D8 s( l9 ~4 [5 cthe hot-spring, the canoeing, and the maligne Boat Cruises).
Hot Spring ticket was about $6 in total according to last year's price.
- q" A2 g5 ~. j/ o" f+ E4 R, u+ @Canoeing is $35 per canoe per hour, $25 per half an hour.
. o5 q0 N6 u, |4 {7 [+ OMaligne Boat Cruises are $35 per adult and $17.5 per child(6-12 years
old).
- L, j( c7 `5 DWhen we come back from the trip, according to the expenses we'll return
the
extra money to you. According to the Trip we organized to Banff in last
