emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
2 l6 K1 j! o1 Zand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
" ^! K% L* Z! G- ?0 N* gresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
5 U* `8 x) O& ~/ j" z5 a8 a0 [screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern ' X Q# X0 G+ Z6 ~

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive # @' ]2 B( _% F* l
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
. R) p, k. M7 }0 @assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.
$ W! R* u2 d7 E" v) X. { * ?) c X: T# f( z. o4 ]8 d( P
Duties:
/ E' i1 o' v" l. u a& e ]- Assist with research on acquisition grants
( b+ p! Q8 y) `- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities / q/ ]; A8 s) g
- Assist with equipment maintenance . P( n. g' m4 y! J5 h
- Assist with production logistics for programming events 1 F( E5 z$ k5 |! W$ F
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
, I, n3 m' _. @- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week 7 b+ J @! A3 }; K: p. E
- Length of position: 12 consecutive weeks

- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment
) f0 p& i% ]+ J- w; N) h9 O# q, }! W- Advance organizational and research skills
$ l7 L& p" p+ {- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
+ [( \$ B' h4 O' E, Q- e( y; e$ l- _- Strong team player abilities 1 D" r: E+ T6 L
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
