FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern 1 O) o8 ?% C: ^. Z

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video

I: I/ J( X5 A: a0 w/ l% gJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the : t- B+ F+ t( F4 n$ J
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
# z. A$ T4 Z8 [$ j' I2 Ewell as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
0 l! g, G+ D- V8 n( O- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
; n1 r( T8 M# Q8 F& u1 v- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 3 P! O1 S& @. f1 G$ w' E {
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
G; i" D7 D; ]% k c- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ! w. U& d% H, K* ]; W' Y
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable - u( |$ \ D3 v; f' d( @1 G8 a

- Funding for this position is provided by the Summer Temporary Employment Program / C$ m- m" \1 i# f! _; @

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week ( u& \; H8 w. O, a) s( Y
- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks - ~; u8 ]2 ^+ ? |# A

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
5 `9 l% w; i; O! |% J$ t( B4 K- S- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
# T2 `# o8 a9 B* w( e6 r- Strong organizational skills ( \; B4 D7 s" w
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred : u1 D: z* M4 ?& L# V! M& A. U
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal + i( Z8 E7 H" f% R' E) l
- Strong team player abilities 7 f W* e$ a4 T& j9 q
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
