summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to 8 E$ y4 W1 [) E" z
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
8 |' K5 W% s6 l) ~ c# A% jemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 4 Q0 V! w1 t1 \! u) F0 z% a
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 4 a* L* z- n8 I9 U8 W
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
4 {; y) I; N& ]7 e3 i; y Z6 rscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
6 X+ q8 x6 c5 _( qFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
! }! Q) d# W" Q7 x: dwell as the script, magazine and book library. Z8 [5 k# F; V/ S8 ]

Duties:
9 h- T4 s/ [$ ]- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library ' t" o% F$ U% X6 J5 C! k
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books 1 N% F# Z4 f( @; d' K6 Q
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
' {! j! ?' t$ o- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure . ~. q9 S" X2 J) W% `
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

' V0 X: h# ~8 I2 P2 O7 c& X- Experience or training in library sciences preferred & _" W( D ?2 l. o
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal $ @, F4 ^) a3 K$ \' d: R t
- Strong team player abilities
