On May 1, 2002 it became mandatory in Alberta for all children under the age of
5 R2 C6 M/ [% o, v: c0 C5 |18 to wear approved bicycle helmets when cycling.

We are aware that enforcement agencies will be conducting helmet checks this
* e' n' V+ l. wsummer. The fine is $69.00, which is substantially higher than the cost of a
helmet.
