Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator

- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- Recruit children for summer program
% d& H4 f& V1 H0 C- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
1 E( b3 Y! G  O# d8 {- Supervise volunteer(s)
& w1 a  y# U9 b2 o* _- Prepare final report for funding agency

" ^3 o  {2 F, r$ FQualifications:

- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
6 ?( O5 X9 l5 t1 l- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
# `. c8 h9 H8 O  M- _- communication skills
3 F0 F& X; q+ |2 O. b1 [8 O8 ^5 I9 p- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
; ?6 x0 f; B0 X" R1 Z" L- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
/ z/ U3 `/ r, a# S; @4 ]( D- good computer skills
5 R6 U% I" H0 u( [: p9 V2 P- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

! h+ f6 F/ p8 L, z- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
