Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
Responsibilities:
! u% q2 X7 H/ }3 a, X8 {- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- Recruit children for summer program
; }8 j7 X8 C# O1 Q) {% u- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
1 v7 V# ?: D; ~" H7 _- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

Qualifications:
9 E% h3 }7 F- m1 I
- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
, i5 s) _& n$ |  g" P% W- communication skills
# y1 p5 Z9 H! Z8 b# P- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
' c, w( ~9 ^! U8 {5 b7 W% {& j+ L- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
* w5 M# v  B" J* z* ?2 Z- good computer skills
& }2 `/ Y) d# V: w  O9 ^; G- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
