Help! --Chinese input

I have done everything i can but my chinese input still doesn't work! this is waht i have done:
7 q3 V$ c$ B/ m2 P: b
& V2 ^8 ]. c& b) v6 |Control panel -- Date, time, language and rigional options -- add another language--languages--details --Add Chinese(PRC)

  \( E' ^* z9 j# i; Q8 |5 s4 `A "language bar help" icon (shown as a question-mark icon)then appears on my desktop bottom bar instead of language bar. I can do nothing further.

I am desperated! Anyone can advise? Thanks!!

xp应该有很多中文输入键盘格式可以选，你选的哪一种?

你是用XP吗？想想当初你装OS时候是否将支持东方语言的软件包同时安装上呢？
