Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator

' Y7 G& C( {& k- Organize focus group(s)
5 Y! a! X$ n& k- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
3 n  O0 d  w) T7 X6 j- Supervise volunteer(s)
! {, j! b+ C, e3 A- Prepare final report for funding agency

- N, L- P- f& ~$ D8 gQualifications:

2 Z& A6 Q5 F, h. ~/ _1 j: B- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
5 C7 t( l8 y: B% D- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
9 c4 I% W, }# [2 t1 z- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
& h' y3 J" Q! r  n$ L* q: M% y- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
6 }, u2 Z1 Y; h* j- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
