動人心弦的小男孩 (Little Boy Touches Hearts)

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.% h" ~1 C  A9 U" V. c

The boy couldn ' t have been more than 5 or 6 years old.$ z: _! h, ?9 n  `7 Z

The Cashier said, ' I ' m sorry, but you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll. '

# S9 ~4 L) ]/ f1 P; ?7 N- F' j* p1 `Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ' ' Granny,
  x% |8 H/ ]" {% `) Z+ Uare you sure I don ' t have enough money? ' '
0 @; p4 s- h; _* M( d小男孩轉向他旁邊的老婦人:

「奶奶!妳也認為我的錢不 嗎?」$ _9 J) Z; r5 d& T( d* s- M7 m

The old lady replied: ' ' You know that you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll, my dear. ' '
' d3 p* A) E& |, t" J老婦人回道:「親愛的!你知道買這個娃娃的錢是不夠的。」5 O. k3 A: ?8 ?2 b2 J4 x

Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.

But he replied to me sadly. ' No, Santa Claus can ' t bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there. '

His eyes were so sad while saying this. ' My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister. ' '

My heart nearly stopped.% D2 j" o! C, z. x: w

The little boy looked up at me and said: ' I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall. '

# L6 O0 q& u: O% l- K% \$ mThen he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He was laughing. He then told me ' I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won ' t forget me. '  m; k) O$ G) ^  }# \" [

Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.0 q4 s+ i  T) p

& t; x* z' r( `'OK ' he said, ' I hope I do have enough. ' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.( _6 a5 L) e4 p
『好呀!』他說『我希望有足夠的錢』。沒讓他看見,我塞了一些錢到他的錢包中,我們開始數錢。買娃娃的錢足 了,甚之還有剩餘呢。7 V3 o$ i7 a  y% @6 p- h

The little boy said: ' Thank you God for giving me enough money! '$ \9 j+ T/ I8 n3 L; u4 o) A
小男孩說:『謝謝上帝給了我足 的錢!』

7 ~! Q# X2 v3 `- h" tThen he looked at me and added, ' I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me! ' '

'I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn ' t dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose. ' '1 m" ~9 |* S8 a5 z9 K- a

A few minutes later, the old lady returned and I left with my basket.$ a# A; m8 L* w6 b2 p

I couldn ' t get the little boy out of my mind.

8 J) g- \( p) AThen I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young

# W2 K) F( G7 P0 H* _4 M我想起兩天前當地報紙的一篇文章,提及一位醉酒卡車司機,撞上了一輛載著年輕少婦和一個小女孩的汽車。; Q: {3 u. F# t$ t" l" V6 D

The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical
' x* n* C) A; ?) |- u7 D! m  Tstate. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the; D& E6 P# F) R$ P. ~
life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.+ i7 R; b+ v1 N: x$ N0 Z

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.

I couldn ' t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.
& z% [, S" |/ |* ^* x* u, I我不自主的買了一束白玫瑰,來到喪家,年輕少婦的遺體在她埋葬前讓人瞻仰與最後許願。2 z0 t8 Q! G" i: `# Q1 Y; u

" m5 @: Y1 D/ v& N# t6 n# bShe was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.9 K# X8 m+ `8 I- m

still, to this day, hard to imagine.

对自己负责。对别人负责,对社会负责,请勿酒后驾车。因为这个小男孩有可能成为你家的孩子。
