3 e& r, E Q7 |9 NBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students
: w8 S+ v" F) D; ]" T" g6 ?(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

Activity Planning and Daily Activity
]9 t/ L2 u8 i) x& _. R9 h• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.
+ G- r% n5 S& x1 D8 Z• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. 6 M( @9 w& a* P4 Y; V
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball, ( A9 D) ~3 E I6 J/ j- V
• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
; s, S/ ]( T0 D' I+ O( e• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.- P- J) W/ j6 q; X* V( O
• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.9 W0 D) _5 l! M6 M. \

The successful candidate will have:
7 n, g6 d4 w7 t' _: F6 a! ~5 {6 [ h• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting( s8 K- Y4 R& D( B4 d) v/ Z
• Experience with children+ q- j2 Z; q0 p; E+ d
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth 9 t* {4 g- T; i% [; p, G% O! ^! [- c
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring." C: p Q* ^2 J% n& ` `1 ?
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.% ~* x* A, L, @
• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
/ l6 m, ?; _ @' @4 r% W0 [• A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
