Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

* P+ ?& m( c0 K/ S( o6 y+ N4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff
(8 week contract @ 35 hours a week)

Key Responsibilities Include:
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
  U" }5 @+ C( m# S* f5 d•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
0 C1 z% L. {: x" r1 N; @6 m; }•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
•        Experience with children
•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
: K- {4 N% F; S9 c, s  s# ?•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
, I( x& V9 d( t2 `•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
/ \  V7 J; o5 c4 b3 U9 n8 \•        Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
5 I6 C0 l5 J2 [- s& y. v4 |•        Documentation of a  clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
