The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.

Reception

( s: Y3 Y6 E; w5 ~& K• Answer multi line telephone system
( ], P; A. g& B- o5 a• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries3 x1 L( U6 n1 B* r) d" W
• Arrange courier services for all departments+ h5 i' o, x& i
• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers

• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail

' |' |, }% P+ _# p M1 Z• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency " N" E T% H0 }: v+ S, o
• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration. H0 j2 Y6 m9 ?0 G
• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers 5 c0 q1 V; i6 w! T( G3 r5 Q& D
• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution

• Accept and process registrations for participants or attendees at various special events and staff training

" p# ]. |, W& E( J1 k$ B+ v• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures1 x+ M, w# O+ X+ A
• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- i ^% l& l9 F& `) Q• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset2 M6 F( Z9 u1 n1 u
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
& k3 n8 ^+ M( c3 Y• Mindful of need for accuracy, detail and discretion
