The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.# |& A/ e4 A% g/ G" ?

• Greet and provide assistance to incoming visitors8 g4 Y. h% J n Z
• Answer multi line telephone system
9 j4 O1 U- ?% O9 n3 q1 \• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries
8 n! n1 m1 t7 B0 M5 Q& {• Arrange courier services for all departments
9 h4 i+ V! v! G; l# u$ _• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers

• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail( ^8 U8 }/ u5 m
• Sort and distribute mail and deliveries
" G" X, o: Z3 |- a9 K• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency ( Y9 Z& F% l, C1 Q. C0 i
• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration, ?/ [1 F; U! E. `, h
• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers

• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments - @) V7 @# M. f) v' Z7 [! n
• Assemble and forward information packets as requested

Qualifications:* a; s/ x4 e& b/ u0 s' i$ D& Z, ^" Y

• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures
4 i0 L }( r" q, z* r, y• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
) {, p6 \, M; @- p6 `1 G• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset
! `! {, o$ U& Q$ Y, m, F• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
