The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.+ K; v6 U( ]5 ^$ Y _

Reception

• Answer multi line telephone system

• Arrange courier services for all departments
3 Z) m- O: d8 u. m/ Q" X) y• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers

, b# _3 q, o h• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail

& l6 [, @' @& ]- W" X' x• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency

• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers ( d: l- n2 `0 M0 _, ]
• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution
) h3 M2 g, b4 f$ n4 E) }) X• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments i& _ {, m! S6 L
• Assemble and forward information packets as requested

• Accept and process registrations for participants or attendees at various special events and staff training

$ M% d4 Z; L7 Q7 a Y2 u" I8 f• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures n% f7 z, ^: N" c& U+ {
• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.: n- a/ W6 E' R6 Y
• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset8 G" V9 h+ h3 g2 ?6 F, n
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills + P+ q$ x6 T s/ p( ?

• Able to interact in a positive manner with diverse population
