+ M6 l+ m. x! ]5 F# e4 j7 mIntegrated Employability Skills Training gives immigrants the essential
skills needed for success in the Alberta workplace. This 5-month funded
* D9 a4 |# [- r! n4 Uprogram combines classroom-based training with work site visits and work
experience placements in high-demand semi-skilled occupations, such as
warehousing, customer service, hospitality, healthcare support, food
# a& t# z7 f2 D) W2 \services and others.
# B  h; f) ^; X, v
. m3 V1 X: x" u) vCandidate Profile:

. c( L6 W1 g* w2 t# n1 fCandidates for this funded program must be landed immigrants, Canadian
! K5 A8 i3 p9 B5 X/ scitizens or refugees who are eligible to work in Canada and who have:
*        English communication skills in the 4 - 6 range on CLB
- V+ M; Y: [9 S& a# j$ C# }*        Basic literacy and numeracy skills and some secondary or post-
! r, r% U$ s# t# [- u) D  y$ a. B/ R! }) zsecondary education
*        A genuine interest in finding permanent employment in a high-demand
. S+ H6 l9 q2 G- n! j  q$ Joccupation
*        Availability to study fulltime for 5 months and then be employed
*        Willingness to commit to a program and future job
*        Resided in Alberta for the past 3 months

Program Description:

                        *        4 months classroom-based instruction and
) K2 e& C, j1 j; T% `field trips
5 P0 N! i/ `! ?- R! {) u) m- s        *        Improve your English while learning about a variety of
high-demand occupations
; A. b( n- J, Q& `% ]        *        Increase computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Internet, etc.)
        *        Write a winning resume and improve interview skills
        *        Get First Aid/CPR and WHMIS certificates
        *        Take advantage of one-on-one employment counseling

        *        All classes are held at The Path to Employment, 10211 - 97
