2 f) v3 S- _7 c0 |- m% W3 bIntegrated Employability Skills Training gives immigrants the essential
skills needed for success in the Alberta workplace. This 5-month funded
program combines classroom-based training with work site visits and work
- ^7 f9 Z5 r/ I) p; }3 _! Hexperience placements in high-demand semi-skilled occupations, such as
warehousing, customer service, hospitality, healthcare support, food
3 X2 H" ]" A( h! `$ cservices and others.

Candidate Profile:
/ K3 x( t+ E$ l/ n6 G
- a/ z" A2 p8 b) w2 ~/ N5 p2 Y9 C& PCandidates for this funded program must be landed immigrants, Canadian
# b6 v# }! `* {( t; w. ]: Rcitizens or refugees who are eligible to work in Canada and who have:
*        English communication skills in the 4 - 6 range on CLB
/ @% ]9 s1 `+ F: P) S& M*        Basic literacy and numeracy skills and some secondary or post-
secondary education
*        A genuine interest in finding permanent employment in a high-demand
: F( L. T; l( Y4 {) `; E4 W" xoccupation
*        Availability to study fulltime for 5 months and then be employed
*        Willingness to commit to a program and future job
" G1 l- @' `- @& m- Q7 ]*        Resided in Alberta for the past 3 months

; _% y, |! \* g8 r                        *        4 months classroom-based instruction and
1 {/ m5 V$ R& l/ [0 T  {field trips
        *        Improve your English while learning about a variety of
high-demand occupations
/ I  P! V: u$ U* v        *        Increase computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
- O. l; t0 _7 ~! g# lInternet, etc.)
        *        Write a winning resume and improve interview skills
! q* X* a+ D* [# G5 \        *        Get First Aid/CPR and WHMIS certificates
! d+ ~1 K3 T; h& l5 h        *        Take advantage of one-on-one employment counseling
4 G) d8 _2 c+ y9 R& ]2 A: q/ M                        *        1 month work-experience placement

        *        Monday to Friday
