请教：如何选购奶酪和牛油

超市里有许多品牌的奶酪和牛油，请问如何选购？怎样吃比较好？

说说英文名吧，奶酪是不是cheese？如果是的话，有几种吃法一是cheese片，做三明治时，夹在面包里吃，有一种是细条状的，可作比萨，还有一种是粉状的可把它加些开水煮成糊状然后浇在烤好的土豆上，也可把cheese粉散在煮熟的意大利通心粉上吃。还有一种小孩喜欢吃的（不到）20公分长的cheese棒，一包里有很多根，就当零食吃。如果你买回的是立方体或长方体的话，就自己动手切成需要的形状，好象有专门的工具卖，其实中国人聪明，就用菜刀也能解决问题。至于黄色与白色的区别我不太清楚。请其他同学补充。

& c7 a& P: }/ p& X4 l. ]. E) x& ]你说牛油是哪一种呀，在国内用于起火锅底料。这里是不是butter？如果是的话，分两种，一种叫butter（块状），一种叫margarine（塑料碗装的）就是人造黄油。在洋人的食谱里常用到，至于中国用法，据说butter可以用来作馒头，成为奶油馒头，margarine嘛，烤面包时用，可用面包机烤好切片面包后，再直接涂上，也可涂上后，用烤箱烤几钟。后者好象更好吃些，小心发胖！！

There are many kinds of cheese( check the link) for different purposes but most Chinese can only handle a few of them:

Cheddar or American cheese (yellow or white): for code sandwich, cubed small chunk of snack, burger or cheesy casserole (baking), the color doesn’t decide the flavor. The cover of the cheese should say: sharp; mild, which refer to the degree of the flavor.

0 s- X7 g7 H' r( y: K8 [Mozzarella cheese (white, no yellow color): for pizza or Italian cooking

' g! y9 x8 W8 A) h(Those are the cheese I can handle but many others I tried but no way to enjoy,  like the following: )

Swiss cheese (white, with holes): mostly for hot sandwich

: Z. z. w* ~7 g5 dParmesan cheese (almost like powder): on top of dishes, mostly pasta.

Butter is a lot simpler:

Butter stick (regular or light): 1. for cooking (just like the oil we use) or baking (e.g. bread, cake, or casserole), 2. you can also use it for bread spread
Margarine( soft butter): mainly or spread, on bread, corn…

Cream cheese: also for spread, mostly on bagels; sometimes used for some bakery too
