* Performs isotopic analyses on a broad spectrum of chemical elements, including Pb, Os, Nd, Sr: _; r2 ]5 T4 h* ~5 _ w* u
* Completes routine maintenance on the TIMS and auxiliary equipment, such as vacuum pumps; S) e* \) P; A$ J. c- Q! H
* Performs data compilation, analysis and data reduction calculations1 R5 A1 N" g& _# Q( Y Y
* Trains users on the mass spectrometer and reduction calculations

* N1 P7 O6 V+ z * Technical diploma in Physical Sciences, preferably Geological Sciences or equivalent; BSc in Geology or Chemistry is preferred
: d% _7 }. I. p5 n * Specialized training on thermal ionization mass spectrometers, geochemical analyses, and instrumentation6 Z; t, Y2 E2 h1 Z% u3 \0 E
* Experience in an established research laboratory with demonstrated knowledge of lab safety regulations and procedures including general lab hygiene and specific safety protocols for thermal ionization mass spectrometers
% `: } w/ ]$ J3 a * WHMIS training0 V+ a* h( H9 q) l& H
* Computer competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and programming experience would be an asset% f! m1 O& j8 q! Y$ ?$ ]3 _7 Q0 Z5 s
