% |3 s! c/ R+ T5 u: y6 p· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
) e# A) R: k N6 r' n, Q# R· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
0 ?* g5 O1 b; l- n0 e- f/ Rwith decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the - a7 y& z6 Z7 `2 \
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure R3 z( P- Y" S, [
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. % c: ^* F" q) R' p( ^% W

· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee 0 r# e& M# C* @# t

Duties: Volunteer Coordination
, f! A6 R: L( U5 v* d/ vAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:

· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers 7 ?8 v$ F! y2 U; |3 |
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
" b$ [: K0 a1 Z; U6 m· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers 7 m+ D J; l z' M8 U/ o
· Complete program administration, statistics and records $ {9 q, U( w: S! G
; x& \8 h/ ~+ }( J) [: iQualifications:
4 U. M$ V9 P% i1 T$ q· Completion of 12th
$ ?2 i( X' M! R2 n& J* p. b Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation 3 R' u/ J2 H r( j: S# w8 B0 K6 K
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. ; f8 S, r4 x3 _ C) |$ x1 D
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct / A) B4 F" G' E8 V- t' b% m
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events % G6 b$ L8 O8 n. P: k1 z* Q+ O" G( n
· Experience working with and managing volunteers 0 w7 L9 L" o7 I. C$ [$ z7 K3 l
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors $ |* W' Y( {! k6 v+ D
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events " T- Z5 N" r* Y
· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training 0 Y! }: l* n* T6 }+ B$ L

Hours: Flexible – some evening and weekend work ; N8 B9 T$ b( A& S
