5 x9 x+ V: q+ H0 MEvents and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

{6 s* j/ G( kPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events: , s' p. q) z7 a j# k
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
3 ^6 G( g& D1 ]* H$ X/ z· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist - X$ @: u" } v4 _
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the 0 j, E+ n) W, O+ `! C- U
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure e5 I$ l6 B7 l; {+ I
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

Duties: Volunteer Coordination
% |- U* [ ^* E4 H2 f& PAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: 3 L! C6 u; S! K
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
: m g: P& v* ]8 {) \! [: u· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
% L! M4 S5 P i9 D1 ^· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
) N/ p. P* W$ L: ]# B0 Y% o· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
* x) A8 z ~; o. `· Complete program administration, statistics and records

) w0 V U+ v. K! \ iQualifications: 5 ? ~; e9 L' H; A$ X% z
· Completion of 12th
. L$ n2 Q/ R2 c3 J! ]7 H" P/ T Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation 0 f5 g1 H7 @0 }1 C
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. . P; j& Q( A5 n. p$ G4 L) h
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct * u- G" _& t( V+ x
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
- e8 |: @: [! p' E N2 b· Experience working with and managing volunteers
D4 f" [. @5 @3 P3 ]8 H· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors
# w0 ~* v8 _; Z- H· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events
4 ^* r" d* v* h9 f7 r· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training
