Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
5 |' l2 I! b! f· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
, x) D! f3 P+ ~& w! o @% t7 Z9 ^7 p5 i· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist - a1 m/ r0 H5 Z; Y
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the + \* Q( T, v% X3 c5 O$ Y& F
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure ( \6 r# D& n8 E' x6 k8 |
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: " D( p, }! |4 U4 d: b, p2 p. k, ~5 m
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions 0 W$ h$ d# F' Q4 R
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
# t) h1 Y3 N/ c% U) L3 ?· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
9 i$ [0 {' S4 E* h K· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers ' c7 M. E' |; ^7 C
· Complete program administration, statistics and records

Qualifications: # L, y: r4 g5 H" S+ }. J
· Completion of 12th
0 C/ e* \- F- k; ^5 K Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation 3 `8 w5 m- d3 @; ~& Z7 o
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. 0 l9 P; }; d" j6 }2 k. s4 M b
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
% `* i- e; j5 z6 H9 xexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events ! i% f& J/ t$ V |; s+ ~+ b) i4 U
· Experience working with and managing volunteers

· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events 1 l. X8 K% s7 _/ S
· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training
