There is no National Park in Windsor, Ont.2 c1 k* o% C# X# V. b9 q
Point Pelee National Park is southeast of Windsor about an hour, near Wheatley, Kingsville and Leamington Ont.
( W$ H, A0 G5 c7 |It is the Southernmost land point of Canada , and other than group camping, is a day use park only.$ J4 ]3 n$ _2 L0 T# N: u q( c

! \& }+ @% c4 P) Y/ ~. f0 U3 y# KThe National Butterfly count takes place August 8th, and you can pre-register your family to take part, lots of fun for the kiddies (Too Late).! L( Q# Y: ?& T* l
Great hiking, guides, canoe tours and rentals, bike rentals and the butterfly migration is something to see.

There are also two Provincial Parks within an hours drive- Wheatley Provincial Park(closest), and Rondeau (farther to the west) if you wish to camp. |
