Certified New Home Warranty Program 这是个什么东西，我买的2006年的房子是不是也应该有这个东东呢？如何才能申请到这个东西呢？

If the builder had provided you a certificate ( actually it is issued by the warranty provider) your house should be under warranty for at least five years.

我买的是2006年二手房。。。卖家跟我经纪说打电话登记就可以了，我还是没明白这到底是个啥东西，是要自己交保费吗还是说当初builder建新房子时必须强制参加这个program？
