Change for Children is looking for a Program and Administrative Assistant who is highly motivated, has excellent ability to work independently, effectively prioritize tasks, be able to manage a flexible work plan and take direction from Program Managers to ensure timely and consistent administrative and program support to our vibrant organization.

CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.* T3 D0 d. {2 \8 |, X

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

: {7 E1 e; A8 {+ {) PSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
