THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:

) g& d7 f6 m6 w6 Q: n% \/ lThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
$ H; m, G6 L' [/ vEligibility Criteria
$ w" F8 g2 Y$ f$ D/ B' ]All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
$ ?3 e& H. H0 a% Q- N  {* n•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
5 X, b- m) i" y9 d5 N- Y•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
: @, z/ S. r7 v% Q, W: Y•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
7 v& T+ ?  ~7 W6 b% a•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
5 a8 s6 T* z( z•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop

  o2 K2 O+ {( j$ A2 B•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
Time Commitment
8 S4 W0 z6 _5 A/ @3 AThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
