+ c" E- k, D, k9 Y& I( [THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
3 T6 v. j9 H! b4 N2 [4 m' @This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
Eligibility Criteria
" q2 J$ }- X# {) z7 SAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
1 T0 r& f4 V" }•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
0 T9 {- u7 R3 v. s# D5 y8 h•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
5 O& @! u/ G+ t) ^8 t0 v•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
; P( B% ?1 @* j* z% `- Z•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
•Lack access to professional networks
•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning

! l# s6 g6 R/ _5 r" \' PThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
