Field Operator - Balzac

Position Overview  
8 _+ L5 M3 u) Y The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).
Job Duties/Responsibilities  
' ?- J. A0 z1 l% {; f) s) V% d -  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
2 {2 G# d. B9 m. l# v; o! `  j-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
5 c8 v1 B! k1 e  }' Z) m5 A# D, E-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;
' i) E  S. u' N/ m-  Work in a team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing success of the Balzac Complex;

Education/Experience  
2 |% O2 V) I% k$ ~( I - Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
  C# t1 V% Z3 ?7 }: W% b. O-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
0 b/ l7 ~- R; w% p- H-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
( h* [) a* D  s+ \5 C* t/ z, K. F, Z3 [-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
; E$ d  w8 @; b-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
