Position Overview  
" f9 K. v( V* @+ N/ ^+ g, j The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).

7 {* G$ ^" B/ d% C0 @0 F -  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
' I# g; W  O7 x, t3 ?5 S0 ?-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
) n* H2 d; ]# i8 q" g$ ~: d-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;
/ g6 m# m( v5 O9 G/ g$ g-  Work in a team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing success of the Balzac Complex;

Education/Experience  
5 l$ a8 J6 Y* u( \- C1 p- C - Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
' ^1 ], o" w) s  g4 Z7 O8 n-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
1 s) ]" u- w: N; C) W0 w8 w-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
: M) h; W6 e3 o& K4 e/ i-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
