6 S) m( U4 X0 |' q5 p& S The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).
# E" |  b9 r$ PJob Duties/Responsibilities  
-  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
4 p9 j' h  J9 u* a9 G' s-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
, }' C. J! A0 W) U3 H' X& N/ b-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
2 A( h  Q. y% b. E4 d" b-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;
! S+ I2 @1 J- ]4 o+ }-  Work in a team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing success of the Balzac Complex;

0 |* ~# F& F3 F" x2 o  d Education/Experience  
$ f4 Y* {' l( R1 W - Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
! w- @6 J& g  o! d-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
% c: Z- W# B1 [-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
