In this and any flu season, it is important to take responsibility for

influenza virus is contagious and is spread person to person via close
0 K1 u# q1 |$ ]4 jcontact. The virus also rests on hard surfaces such as counters and# e8 g5 X6 Z3 k9 J: t/ J- ~* s
doorknobs and can spread when people touch contaminated surfaces and
' X4 V I) p+ h9 w4 ^5 E2 I7 Lthen unknowingly transfer the virus to their eyes, nose or mouth.) P& V" E- E Q7 W9 X. b$ B6 H
Practicing good preventive hygiene (e.g., wash your hands and cover your
- o+ ?9 X* A/ Rcough) and following the self-care practices as outlined by Alberta
. K7 Q- Y, @$ hHealth and Wellness will greatly assist in minimizing the chance of! i" k- ]. Z1 O: ]8 Y3 M% W7 e
