influenza virus is contagious and is spread person to person via close+ h$ V+ ]/ b( t9 h" [3 D2 c, `
contact. The virus also rests on hard surfaces such as counters and8 z! N' N! R7 Q8 t A. q1 }
doorknobs and can spread when people touch contaminated surfaces and
, d' Q! e5 \6 G) j: A' z" _6 P# Wthen unknowingly transfer the virus to their eyes, nose or mouth.
0 M+ S( ]5 F- _3 E2 }* x. A' E, p9 h# OPracticing good preventive hygiene (e.g., wash your hands and cover your4 p9 @3 B& K! c( P2 {+ \
cough) and following the self-care practices as outlined by Alberta
