In this and any flu season, it is important to take responsibility for

influenza virus is contagious and is spread person to person via close
: d4 m# r% k; Y& a) H) m5 I$ D$ ocontact. The virus also rests on hard surfaces such as counters and& k# s1 f* M' V6 J& R+ f7 z
doorknobs and can spread when people touch contaminated surfaces and
9 O& R' [- J+ k5 a, I* b% S7 E6 Vthen unknowingly transfer the virus to their eyes, nose or mouth.
, {& T$ K/ [/ b- o' CPracticing good preventive hygiene (e.g., wash your hands and cover your! x4 D( A. U9 D0 E
cough) and following the self-care practices as outlined by Alberta9 D# ~2 B8 g% `* X' r- X$ e a
