FUNCTIONS:

The Materials Management Section of the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is seeking a Purchasing Clerk to perform administrative duties and assist with the procurement of goods and services through various vendors.  Responsibilities include:
) i3 B7 B) h, _% h/ v# J# v* P% _; V+ n
·         Providing purchasing and invoicing services, including creating, placing, expediting purchase orders and processing them for payment using SAP.
% `4 i& J! m! Z5 O, H, E0 {7 d
) b/ d' a7 D  Y- u$ o·         Reconciling monthly purchases on Corporate Procurement Cards.

  T9 }+ ?2 c& x: T·         Coordinating the purchase and issue of service recognition items, member name tags, and business cards.

·         Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, filing, preparing and distributing agendas, mail services, handling customer inquiries and complaints, and coordinating the Manager’s meeting and schedule.2 n4 q# ~6 Z# _( V+ B; p

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

·         Completion of the twelfth (12th) school grade including business subjects related to word and information processing or completion of an appropriate certificate program from an approved business school/college, supplemented by training in microcomputer applications.* l, G/ F  Z8 i- v, m3 ?: b  \

·         Two years diversified word and information processing experience.

·         Able to meet the physical demands of the position, including some lifting, bending, and carrying material.

HOURS OF WORK:

SALARY RANGE:  u* r) L& b3 z: D' X! S

21M, Salary Grade: 006, $1,053.13 - $1,307.68 (Bi-Weekly), $27,486.82 - $34,130.38 (Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.
