Responsibilities:& F% _7 x0 M8 f* @, J! V
- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth, V2 j( o9 N& F- S. @3 G
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling8 E( _' N7 r% J# M7 g5 U s
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
. {9 ?" P ~* O$ T3 u- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
6 r! f n! ]3 O5 W* s6 R- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

c1 Y) @3 z' Y, {( I7 x ~0 o6 IKey Qualifications:! I9 J9 b9 ~- ]3 o' ]- x8 A1 ?9 v9 e
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences/ U$ {7 e5 y+ ^% ~& D9 ?7 m- d2 m
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
9 ~' w3 n1 E# J! R- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others6 W1 \1 x" j$ O# p
- Experience doing program development
& w6 ~. Q9 t+ Z3 H- Strong organizational and coordination skills

- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset# r6 n2 @! z" R" d0 e" |
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license! F4 D4 {) ?/ i+ ]1 T

- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation/ h" K* W6 A4 ~) p8 r, x

- An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
