Responsibilities:
" k4 x: }# f$ r/ |! c* ~1 z# w- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth$ B' V$ I* K h8 o5 o
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling$ z& V' M9 n" ?" K7 b( u# X3 r
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups2 v/ b9 _* P5 X7 a1 w4 k8 ~! _5 w
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs, C0 x" q- \: K5 ]3 N7 d- `$ O
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
' }( X& g2 \7 {5 o1 x7 b- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences$ y8 y; m- W4 @ d ]
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement+ O% c z# M4 s; J& \6 d+ p6 W2 I3 Y
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
- \9 ~9 T3 ^ w+ K+ I, }1 G- Experience doing program development6 W& v, i, l5 y3 |. L4 s: ?
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
, J4 P- i: s, C* E- W% ?3 S4 r- Self-directed and able to take initiative
0 \. E% M1 L' l" E- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset3 j% `: X! _& {& p5 [
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license
