Responsibilities:3 m& S9 n' N7 f. G- S1 v
- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth# A) _8 x* \% @3 A3 t, N
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
% o/ u1 i( E6 Q- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups0 k K8 @9 C f
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
4 ]! ~6 j! g9 x4 o% o7 P( A- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:" I( E" X. X8 ^, m& Y E
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
0 e9 w; y% \. q+ R) q- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
* U7 R! |# r- E+ L- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
6 ^( A2 u% W* E4 q) e& W* {9 g. X- Experience doing program development
8 t! l5 y4 {; v1 h* [- Strong organizational and coordination skills4 e/ U2 K L; ]7 N, W
- Self-directed and able to take initiative
' j9 b: h+ P( ?6 e- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
- j0 z. {3 C" L, f# M- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license. @' t& _, ~, ?4 L

1 N2 Q* o$ z: p, A+ T! g- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation

* P w: R) O* h3 h: M/ e- Skills in marketing & promotions
