-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
& l3 h4 r: r5 ^7 E/ A- {& I-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
% ~8 m6 U- N0 _" e-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

' I% p/ }# A( ?" @* Z' u' ~" X+ X; nKey Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
: n; C* r3 o3 d. l9 {1 ], ]-        Experience doing program development
# L8 D# e4 v% `-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
/ r. Z5 {4 ?4 ?. g, i-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
/ N3 _. @. n" r2 d* U# W, }+ W-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

6 R$ ^% W3 L9 u: g8 U3 yAssets:
8 }2 @8 O3 D  K6 i. }/ S! D* c  r-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
" I$ `+ b& i: n" v! R8 ]-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
-        Skills in marketing & promotions
-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
