- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
, Y$ t3 H& P! L) j5 R- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling9 J8 `2 S2 L- i2 K7 S; t& y
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups3 e' c, a* d/ a: _5 b
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs9 T# g/ J t, Z
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health' w; v) H8 \ y

! ~* B4 L x& A1 M+ t- ^- G( K9 ]6 cKey Qualifications:1 z Z' W' }/ x/ N9 L( |- ]: C: ~
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
. K" H8 P9 o. u- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
' o4 K( [. W3 w8 s3 X- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
4 B8 P8 I% T- Z& ^: q, x- Experience doing program development
# i5 W. R4 [, z& x- Strong organizational and coordination skills
+ l" Z }# v( U% Z# V4 t# h$ \+ D- Self-directed and able to take initiative
0 G0 Y! M% [+ G- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset

- An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
