CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.

No one was hurt in the incident which happened after a fire broke out around midnight at its upgrader #1, Suncor said.

& ^$ k4 v5 K% V+ [& M5 f5 TThe energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage.0 m& a. ]6 m9 D3 q% M1 `# c
6 _1 j5 l6 V/ ?" E! _( {Suncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.* J" r, {$ l! e# M
