CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.

The energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage.1 w, G; u( j) B% t" E- I; J$ F D) j- }
9 p& c# P/ N. W0 MSuncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.7 U# B! \8 I& k8 _" R8 W0 n
