5 x# Z0 N( B4 y! RTwo cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:4 z) g' ^) g" ~0 o5 m* o
After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again.
# j2 y+ v- |) M9 O: _5 TIt is a cycle.9 ]7 Z& z+ W! |8 s" H
9 n$ V7 y* `$ D* _3 I |We isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.
- D; C8 y: S5 G0 }2 E8 P: ySwap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.( g% Y1 b* r1 p+ W+ I. i! f
The problem should be inside the bucket.' z/ H( R! T) D& c' [/ n' b6 E
: N6 j7 z4 q3 }8 C; vWhen the problem happened, we observed that the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.7 {, c& B" _9 H* B9 f
Use a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
5 E- Q) ?2 I* S% CConfirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.

* A) X2 R8 w( d; D$ l) r; TThe next thing we can think of is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.( U* x- X# H3 A5 l
They have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again.
, E# N9 g$ E j* H2 J It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working. : I1 d t& l# {5 Z6 l
# J8 m/ [* X' w7 b8 R' l3 OThe coil should be the problem, we ordered two of them. But it will take 5-6 weeks for us to get them.
