The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.# z+ }% g1 F5 K' C4 n. D. G* A

( p* I [: b1 D, V8 j§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
5 p% ]: t! L! u, j, H§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
6 [% s+ P" [- z$ ~; s§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
; p$ A: ]) y: {! {§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
; W- K6 L4 A. w4 X( |0 K8 b§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
9 }) X6 E! A: j: W& X# \§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience

§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). ' K+ \7 O5 d6 m5 b( ~+ X- S

# }0 ^ k2 u9 k3 i( \) X' m§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports

§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to; A v; H. [8 s% B8 t( i! ^, f
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
8 N4 A9 L" a' [6 ?( L# I§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access

§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan

§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management

§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT
