The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.* I+ Z; |- M0 d Z; S

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers* w% r1 N9 H; P; ~
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution / M; N: l# v; E7 e* }2 ~
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
H7 t2 b- P+ x2 K: {3 C. b: F% z6 E§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
$ }( {2 q ?5 N& k9 e& Q* _§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
! v K) r( G" t5 ^6 e§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert; t/ M5 K9 Q5 Z5 J" ~- Q" S
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties

§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience

§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems1 j" |" w+ Z% f: @( t

Position Summary:
1 K6 b$ L" K2 W' O5 k4 f% r, _, ZThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). 3 {$ I" ]; W$ q) r9 a$ v& C

§ Manage a stable local IT environment

§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support
" i& A4 a" z, F: l! A) z§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
( \/ ^0 d* K9 U, A$ Z# N7 B: f" v§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports( H% g2 H( B, }5 I
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation
8 r$ ?+ t+ U* C6 e. _) C; ^) H; I4 h§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to9 D$ d8 _2 @( u5 n0 X! C
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
2 X7 ~, N/ q! x4 d* ]6 a L§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access

§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan

§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance
