Position Summary:
: f, E: s) c8 S/ V8 `6 H/ Y% vThe IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.7 a+ P1 F2 O2 u! h! W& j
8 u/ a: N- A; P4 ]* a7 p6 r
Responsibilities:
; q4 w6 D/ q5 g0 q§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
7 P3 t; p; X- ]§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution # B" \/ k, g8 r* M: N2 d
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation! V( \4 P% r  W$ `; H" v
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
6 g% _# j1 Z0 W§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk  O% j. g1 B% R+ w. O7 V# x! `- c
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert% \- X& ?) {% k9 U! {# P  W( Q9 M; Q
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties- K- H: \7 s2 S6 i% `
§ Special projects as required, {$ f5 ~0 G$ ?" q8 |( q; X. U
§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls

, Z* F1 u* w# I8 c§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience
, N) K* Z( ]9 f1 B§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
- |( P6 Y/ a% Q- a; y( t$ y3 E§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
2 Y( Z: \) S% M# W- q- s§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues# I* u9 P3 D; n$ j! q, q
§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware
% B6 \1 M3 G& x+ }! K: r§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software

W+ o$ ~§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems.   P/ a. ]. }; e0 M- K# G4 dThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

Responsibilities:
0 r& k" h" P! q" b  c7 U6 o; e§ Manage a stable local IT environment
% Z" _7 o: X! s, a§ Manage and coach staff in IT group
" r1 z/ t) D1 L/ m§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support5 l: r+ C3 `3 @, b" H: D% \, D
§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives- z$ r7 V0 g5 O3 I
§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports0 t) J3 [6 ~: a2 b8 A! p
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation
. v+ V% ?7 l5 b7 B% v§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
; N9 D* v1 V) C4 }§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times+ ^' N+ N  h2 D8 v' O& c
§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access; C. @! m$ V6 `- }8 H5 c5 w
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures. ?8 e, f6 B0 B. C7 f$ {
§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
4 O. E8 @2 u5 q" v( ^+ z, x§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
4 ]+ X7 z" n- Q§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

9 ?& t1 Z- w2 [§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance, H% ^1 Y2 Q5 h9 w1 {: a8 e9 a$ B
§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT
# g9 ]6 F5 q& A§ Coordinate and support end user training$ Y) \4 J5 C: L' j
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers
: ^2 `5 G& \- g# y! N§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance
' k9 s3 g$ k) ]6 h; Z; _; ]) q  Z- ^§ Manage all printers in the building; g* R) ~, c1 L3 H% z0 p; H2 f# P* E( k

呵呵,不是manager 就是administration.
% Z, R" W7 b# F  r6 `
4 Z  r  u4 i' p0 M2 Y0 f在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
