The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution

§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
& r3 ?: e: m" Q* ~3 J2 [5 Q§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert- N4 [+ T8 F1 b9 l0 y5 S( N0 n
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties* o6 V- v- G( o" B
§ Special projects as required% U/ n5 P$ w! @: [3 s0 }

§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). + t, D- k' T& }$ v; s! ~$ i

Responsibilities:

§ Manage and coach staff in IT group

" ]" V, L/ z Z$ Y, w6 O§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
/ x5 @4 Y8 [' O# M1 Y6 z§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports
) ?* z, S9 T. m6 L) z" q- g7 i§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation+ @$ [" t9 K0 D# e. e
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to

§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance

§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance
