; i$ t, {' a5 c1 u-        facilitate recruitment of participants for the Keshotu Leadership Academy' ^( n4 U8 t1 y0 S
-        conduct interviews to ensure participants have necessary qualities

Organize Leadership Training Sessions
  S& b; F4 l" i0 g5 s-        locate an appropriate venue for weekly meetings4 d+ a  a( b4 v4 f$ g
-        set up a plan for the span of the project (Jan 08 – Dec 08) for weekly meetings8 u, ^" O+ H5 N' F1 }* ~; Z! P
-        use project proposal to ensure time is spent with all identified areas
' F6 K' L. I, V+ \  }
7 b, K1 Q' Y' Z, }6 [7 w6 KPlan and Facilitate identified public events4 }0 H8 A+ P4 u# I' ~
-        with youth participants

5 X3 g- }# c8 V# t: r( X; BMedia coverage- B% F) m2 {4 C4 e. Q+ H( t2 p
-        work with media consultant to ensure good coverage of project

Networking
* C% [) ?$ B) o  d& c3 d' r; h-        attend meetings relevant to organizational mandate: Y* X4 c# @8 r3 w9 z1 T
-        create and maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations

+ E! f/ ?7 T3 L-        Be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position.

  l( e9 m' k9 S4 C. t7 Y-        With program manager, create proposals to continue funding of this project.
1 _  c: }. t' g7 A+ q7 v7 \-        Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators

Reports to Funders and Program Manager
9 r" f! Q* T4 c  ?. S-        submit quarterly reports to program manager and timely reports according to requirements of each funder0 L* _3 K4 f8 Z

2 u' @6 Z2 I, PProject Evaluation  T1 w  ]  n# u9 D/ ^* W
-        work with external evaluation consultant to collect appropriate data for evaluation1 [0 c0 C+ S; r: M8 b; Q' x
-        include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model4 W8 z( l& t' s# @  h% s

* a# j3 T: {$ `3 DQualifications for this Position

-        excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society! r4 q5 `; O7 I9 ^" s
-        demonstrated leadership abilities with youth: J* o! I  O1 X3 q( s: `+ z
-        experience with project coordination7 j6 j6 Q0 `$ Y( n2 @0 `
-        degree or diploma in human services field
2 Z2 s& ^6 S' A6 Q8 a-        developed knowledge and skills in one or more performing arts+ o" M6 N1 I8 U4 C! o4 T
