-        facilitate recruitment of participants for the Keshotu Leadership Academy
: `, z; s' a0 r-        conduct interviews to ensure participants have necessary qualities

7 v! |0 y  p. u' ?5 gOrganize Leadership Training Sessions
) r# h3 V$ \8 z0 y7 C$ V  ]-        locate an appropriate venue for weekly meetings
-        set up a plan for the span of the project (Jan 08 – Dec 08) for weekly meetings
! ^" e+ e" b* u( Q1 W-        use project proposal to ensure time is spent with all identified areas
( d1 w6 s+ D& ]( s
Plan and Facilitate identified public events
6 b3 u/ S: ~, j1 n, w-        with youth participants

2 }& y" f6 e* ^! G-        work with media consultant to ensure good coverage of project

Networking
7 a3 w9 V# g' u+ s% }3 u-        attend meetings relevant to organizational mandate
-        create and maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations

Professional Development
-        Be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position.

-        With program manager, create proposals to continue funding of this project.
) {. `3 J' C7 ~/ J" o- M-        Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators

. z8 g3 Z' U9 ~: f* {" ZReports to Funders and Program Manager
-        submit quarterly reports to program manager and timely reports according to requirements of each funder

) Z3 h/ P& k9 Z8 s) `/ ~7 _Project Evaluation
+ Y" e3 C. a- T-        work with external evaluation consultant to collect appropriate data for evaluation
-        include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model

Qualifications for this Position

) J. j5 S; x0 l-        excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society
- e* n3 ], g# f5 f/ r' Y-        demonstrated leadership abilities with youth
$ g4 z6 W  x0 e-        experience with project coordination
-        degree or diploma in human services field
4 |8 n, b, K3 [, X  v-        developed knowledge and skills in one or more performing arts
