MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

% ^" \9 d9 P5 e$ t/ B9 bKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
" ~5 M. B( h$ L- F7 ^        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
' t% Z, P0 C3 A        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

! B( j: C: b- fQUALIFICATIONS:
) x0 Q+ |7 Z1 v, O1 ]•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
' |) ]; h8 c) E; m•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
( g* r$ a  l& A5 @" L) G) |+ R: \•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
) d) u& Y+ X+ E5 `/ v" I•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
