MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

2 u8 t% Z) d$ I1 {# KKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
8 R8 O2 j# V, ?0 A' I( \! X        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
5 E  D# i; S6 O) B        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
3 [) @( k9 T7 H/ o1 a% p' u5 A        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

) V) l) X- y5 n% R& @8 gQUALIFICATIONS:
' T- @9 U4 K, N- Y3 G5 }+ _•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
3 ^2 R3 d0 Y4 m1 ]% p, k. l) m•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
0 C3 d" I! J# N. m$ l0 l) b•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
. P1 M$ H2 }/ z2 I•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
