MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1 G7 c- ~- v" b5 I! Z( V  d5 n6 H        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
. B6 m6 H' P& H! Z$ \        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
  X$ L4 I8 Q" c% c9 M, Y  E+ h' H        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

QUALIFICATIONS:
. E  t0 W. j$ C* j! y•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
; K6 e$ w0 S$ T4 m$ o9 g) @5 {•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
5 w' ~4 }* w& O0 J" W% [  U•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
/ G: A: x: @3 i1 u•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
* X3 [5 O* n$ J/ n0 f, Z( J•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
