Department Information  
Gas Development is comprised of natural gas business development, Enbridge investments in existing gas infrastructure and investments in long-term gas development initiatives.  The Group currently manages investments totaling $1 billion, with earnings of approximately $100 million.   This new Senior Business Advisor position will report directly to the Director Finance & Control, Gas Development.  The position will work closely with Business Development Management to ensure financial planning models for existing businesses reflect the most current commercial & economic outlooks.  This position will also develop initial financial models, and analyze risks and opportunities, related to potential new businesses identified by Gas Development.  
Responsibilities  
9 [" P0 v# K: ~8 c9 J* g5 y Maintain and analyze financial models of existing Gas Development investments to ensure financial performance meets corporate expectations; where appropriate, identify opportunities to optimize commercial values;

Work closely with Gas Development Management to ensure financial models reflect current commercial contracts and economic / financial outlooks;

Ongoing risk assessment and determine impacts for financial planning;

Liaise with senior financial representatives from partners/JVs to ensure an understanding of key financial/commercial issues and the impact to financial results and forecasts;

% o5 z  k+ W1 e, I! R# C/ QWorking closely with Gas Development Management, will develop initial financial models and evaluations of natural gas infrastructure opportunities valued in the range of $100 million to $1 billion+;

Work closely with Senior Advisors/Managers of Corporate Development & Investment Review to ensure consistency of financial evaluation techniques for new opportunities and ensure clear and timely communication of project risks and opportunities;
Manage the input of various Corporate Departments in assessing new and existing capital investments;

5 `8 {) r; l1 l) @Provide financial support for investment proposals to Senior Gas Division & Enbridge Management;

8 N$ b# M$ x3 z! u, ^6 p/ ]Specific responsibilities include: preparation and review of financial models; managing the financial assessment of commercial structures and operating environments, provide advice on key financial assumptions; and assess opportunities & risks of current / proposed investments; determination of asset values/bid prices; use of appropriate valuation methodologies; and due diligence reviews.

Assist Director in developing and analyzing financial results and forecasts (annual budgets, forecasts, and long range plan).  
( z8 T8 R# G3 n* C$ k4 k; [ Qualifications  
2 F! V8 y( J! o. }8 |3 A Business/Finance Degree coupled with an MBA, CFA or accounting designation.
' w1 n) h9 {$ B% t( g
+ f* ^: G! I3 |9 ]! c  \; X10-15 years financial experience at progressively senior analyst/advisor levels within the energy industry;
1 W/ p+ U+ g$ _5 Q8 ~
Gas industry experience preferred;

) H, ?- `+ _  ^# }Extensive experience in financial analysis, accounting, financial planning or strategic planning;

1 T2 N0 U2 A$ \& kExperience in business evaluations and due diligence with respect to large scale energy projects;

% L% p( e$ L8 K: T1 ]# TStrong business acumen, collaboration and interpersonal skills;
