At least $20k ... because it's very hard to squeeze extra square footage.
It may even be impossible.

费用上很难说，主要是空间。如果空间足够大，或卫生间可以向外扩大，那5千~1万就行。但如果没有空间，那就没法做了。

95% of the time, that assumption doesn't stand. After all, this is the main floor, not basement.

Seriously, you do need 20k to either knock down some walls or do an extension project to make that space.

几个月以前，我找人做过这样的工程，花了3000块钱。这是一个斑阁楼，主卧在main floor，有半个洗手间，洗手间的旁边是个closet。装修工人把closet和洗手间之间的墙拆掉，增加了一个淋浴。全部材料加上累脖一共是3000块钱。

当然，主卧里面的closet消失了。

2 years ago, added a shower to my 2 pieces ensuite. The room is 4'x7', very tight to fit all 3 pieces. Needed total re-plumbing (supply and drain) and costed me $700 (material plus labor). I did the rest work myself. The shower is 36"x36" circular shape with sliding doors, an expensive one of $700. New toilet, sink, mirror, light fixture, fan, tile etc. Total material cost was around $1500.
