The Desktop Support Team Leader is a supervisory/advisory position that is responsible for the support of the City of Edmonton desktop environment, including geographical support City wide:

· Supervising a team of technical staff, which will include staff recruitment, setting performance expectations, evaluations, mentoring and coaching." F$ |. f- Q8 h+ w

% d. S* b! K+ C& Y5 x# |% p: {· Planning, coordinating and allocating staff to ensure effective & efficient support of City desktops.

· Working with other operational areas in maintaining an ever evolving desktop support model.& y. U2 Y8 V6 y4 K" V

· Ensuring the Desktop Support Area is meeting /exceeding performance expectations defined in Service Level Agreements, by providing essential metrics for performance monitoring.

· Performing quality assurance for work performed, in response to customer requests.( l  O; G  M8 p8 V. S8 f

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

) \5 O' P  C! x3 A) [· Degree or Diploma in Computing Science from a C.I.P.S. accredited institution.

· Minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible work in systems development that would include supporting a desktop environment.

· Experience in supervision, leading,and managing a team of technical experts is essential.. T7 H: `7 r$ U' R* k* U/ W  I6 K

· Strong technical, communication skills (both verbal and written) are required.

33.75 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of a variable hours of work program.

% w2 j3 d: |/ N7 b" K21M, Salary Grade: 038, $37.02 - $46.76 (Hourly), $2,498.99 - $3,156.37 (Bi-Weekly), $65,223.51 - $82,381.19 (Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.3 e5 b+ U2 a3 D' U8 P2 s& u: @2 c
