7 \5 B( z* C. C0 w, zKey Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
8 h8 ]4 g; D7 g8 V) l Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
2 b6 X) m! V4 o1 V Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
, F9 s3 b4 j. J, Q4 Y Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
6 D  b( h! c6 n- T4 a Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
: H. y, x0 o0 a$ f" N( h Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
/ a/ l- e2 T% ?( H8 S8 N2 d8 n- R2 u
- F4 A0 X% [% M! T Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
! u" Z+ g' u& o2 C Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
1 B& e# _* ~9 S, W8 q5 B" f% v/ }! N Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
7 c& P4 P/ }$ k# d+ K* A+ F' \ Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
