7 V/ X- \' t2 a% QKey Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.

* |: K* ]; ?; |9 i$ E" ] Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
' s3 z/ @( j8 k7 ~. F( @ Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
6 X- e' y- s5 S% ~2 F. i5 l: C Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
+ p7 x$ v- p- x$ S4 s( L Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
7 n& B5 f# C9 t" F; N$ q Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

8 w" H$ c4 t' u# t' [: W9 GThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
. D! b" K7 N& W/ Ustarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
