. E( S% t5 c$ [% r Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
% z4 O0 ^2 ^6 i: e. f/ D: g$ E Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
% }5 G0 G- ]9 S! Z& n1 [9 u Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.% c9 m* C( Z3 G9 V) u
 Completing required paperwork.7 U5 T$ W7 _ ?7 z Y& ~; `7 _
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops. @, @; a1 e3 _4 {7 p0 g8 ?
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.. O) G! a& G' N# _4 e0 M+ ~! ~
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
$ ~. i, \. y" N( ^ Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.

; t& p `- E+ D) v$ z2 u7 O) V Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
5 _2 Z; M& Y/ j. r- M# x& a Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
- R. H5 E, E1 i' Q: E Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.2 w2 `4 e, b- ?( H7 h& f( v/ @! |
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
) _- z& c3 Y! q8 [$ H Knowledge of community resources.
" g4 ^7 u) n# H$ s; f Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.; G4 j, C5 j/ A7 c6 B
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. ; F+ C9 U9 \* ]& D1 E. ^9 X

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; 3 J+ @% x$ s) _+ f& d
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
