Key Responsibilities & Duties:
; h: G. X4 ?2 Q# V- q! C( o
 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
( }5 R% S4 X. p# H Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
# E, A5 @  O# }4 S7 L8 D- v% G Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
7 M  b2 ?3 `6 ? Completing required paperwork.
/ A( m3 y  k/ W9 w. p& }3 o/ f/ k2 @ Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
9 m9 S& ~+ v0 V Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

! u5 L& t0 K8 l; v. Y  C Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
% b8 L) ]' V2 z0 r, ~, `0 U Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
& r. x: v5 \& G, X# Z3 i2 P5 _starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
