) k/ c7 G1 ?& C
. x* B' G1 {2 _  M6 f7 \0 R Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
% ^" `1 m! a8 \ Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
& J5 m2 L5 S+ z0 }* C9 X Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
! y6 Z& j+ z/ U( n7 c; j: [* Q Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

Qualifications:
6 d/ u' i' A& H
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
% M/ M6 \: E( t& a0 k Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
( Y% V) D- R7 G3 d! E" O Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
& ~' ]4 q2 n3 h$ {8 T9 [ Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
, [  N) X" p+ K Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

9 s- Z5 O. ?/ a) T9 U, Z9 oPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
( m* G6 d0 A0 a  F  t9 |starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
