Major Responsibilities:' d) v0 ~$ x8 k
• Process research equipment design;
3 l. o! I, y, q; f• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;" N$ N; T& e/ }0 b9 k$ s5 {
• Equipment fabrication guidance;
0 ~$ w: [" P1 V# k' Z• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;( n' s/ [; ~" m8 ?3 d
• Others.

9 g, a; q4 M* N) ^Qualifications:
/ [. ` i' l( }• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
& o2 H) \4 @! w4 r! m• Equipment design experience is required;+ I! m; i! ~! D% r
• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
' o; [7 K+ T# h% C% o( O• Familiar with CAD software;4 B& T9 H; s; K
• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful; v9 b v! ~, @ `$ g
• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.* Y# N$ L; p8 G/ o

Compensation:0 n2 l6 N( X. t1 T
Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
