An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

Major Responsibilities:
•        Process research equipment design;
% w  Y( F& r: V% ?$ E•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
, s& ^3 q6 Z; n# E- e•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
4 W/ F) @  F* e  _! t2 F" h. h•        Others.

Qualifications:
9 j6 {1 H3 X3 q* d$ }6 F* e9 ]•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
•        Equipment design experience is required;
* M' D; ?, c( S# J•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
# w: `' B: S6 D•        Familiar with CAD software;
. w' e% _' J$ A9 I•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

- N' x- F  m$ D+ ^Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
