An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

Major Responsibilities:
$ [! @( w7 n  ^  F- n% M9 c•        Process research equipment design;
•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
6 A9 ?; U6 N. e7 m•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;

6 S; A" y+ [6 z; S3 HQualifications:
•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
•        Equipment design experience is required;
6 W5 Z) h- A) m' a; \& O% [% t•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
•        Familiar with CAD software;
3 \, j. ^; E$ J  i•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

$ p0 c1 r. t3 qCompensation:
% p# Y  `: U, _) [$ u: nSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
