Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

* u) O  y/ s# B2 w/ O) N" V  eWorking with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
3 @: B# ]" D9 [3 @Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
. @: b$ i/ B# I2 u. I4 f4 SMake sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

Qualifications

3 U2 G# t+ l! m6 t/ q; y; rGraduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
" m; c* U* W+ A, ZMinimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
. J5 a5 l! G5 }- RExperience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
8 A& v! _  ^% H) G3 Y  v) vUnderstanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
  x- Y7 i) L: ~! p0 N* pAbility to communicate with all levels of management
) C9 d% D4 z, L7 x& ^7 s7 }4 j- _Ability to work independently as well as in a team
