Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Key Responsibilities:

8 V- {/ w- F# J/ ~Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
% @' D! ^& }4 U2 a1 aReview, develop and improve processes and procedures
4 \& ?3 c$ ]( AResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients  

Qualifications

$ {4 B9 [  {7 ?# }  f2 T$ JGraduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
, }% O8 M3 ?) P! bMinimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
7 d8 u+ r$ {' K6 t% iMinimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
1 C$ u# o3 D; Q) Q7 C/ KExperience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
5 F: x' j0 X5 G- U5 H+ M1 OCompetence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Ability to communicate with all levels of management
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
