 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
2 }8 O& C% j/ F- C" a% a- h Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
: x! L8 _( c0 E8 ? Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
3 a# p3 s$ D- K- Q Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
9 P# X+ q! m5 J# c* I" t% I! ], U9 r Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
- @* D5 P$ L7 X$ I3 D4 ~ Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

, e& t6 v2 S. B7 e6 X
4 z  D& q. b+ }6 ^, i% e Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
# u  v' T/ y. i7 d+ f, X# c Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
( F! x) R; ]: |" d# v, w2 O/ X Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
  l- G0 E0 X; l* L& ZThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
