Key Responsibilities & Duties:+ [6 k+ `7 U5 C/ R: n
. Q6 { F, o! P: p) [ Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.3 d0 B; }6 P1 q. {: g
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
- y' ]) W* N# C; x Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.: t8 y+ J' I3 k0 ?
 Completing required paperwork.
8 F" ]8 ~+ o' A) q2 N+ t/ j Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
; O. _0 }6 `& O) g: M. ]% _6 \ o Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.; B3 o O8 N2 {/ _' f
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.

 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
Q6 }0 v2 L: P5 f# S S2 h Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
8 b: E3 E* N8 @. y. Y Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.0 a( Q K7 f6 A% _# g+ m& \
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.3 n- A! q+ V5 Z" M" n: r& w2 ?& g
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.0 O( f7 n9 [ }6 W% Y7 S+ e
 Knowledge of community resources.
* \+ q& q! t; Q: q' ~# q* G$ N Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.1 T* Z3 O6 L. G
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. * k* Y9 _) d9 P/ N' ?2 O. P

Position:
! Q6 V; X* D# S! `2 M- S+ VThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
