 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.

 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
; s0 X4 ]" {: w- L+ M Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
; c8 W+ ~9 [' ^- X* y/ H Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
+ d9 v& J0 T2 p  E/ E7 s8 a Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
0 c; u& s- R4 s/ M- ]  i" H7 U Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
# y* y  ]# S, s$ o2 E Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
9 J- f+ G6 P, L' T/ e Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
" z7 S+ k) i% x Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
+ k8 x" Z% t- N& H+ c0 F: C9 A1 s Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
: {* @/ a6 q" E; w% ~7 \- ]# |There is a 3-month probationary period.
