" x) i. O8 g4 o$ l! J T8 d Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.6 c/ ]; q4 \& _% K+ Z( N
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
1 V: w# e6 I" V9 Y- b6 i3 t: u' Y Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.+ N$ b4 m- i- l' f, W1 Z$ j
 Completing required paperwork.; w% g: }, }5 u( h' v
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.& p- K2 G$ {8 R& Q7 t( W9 _- R& \$ H
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.& [7 M# T I/ [
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.

 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

6 X# w( O# T: w% T0 L, ?& j8 R, S$ w2 j. q2 ^. p
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.9 } X- V3 N, n' C; x
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
2 x$ D5 q& L5 p' s; O1 g; ^9 K/ h0 H Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
) S* l" y! h* Z' C Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
7 ]! t+ e; u1 \ Knowledge of community resources.
- c8 a( w& g1 G Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
! u- {+ }6 l- \9 u Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

& h* M8 m" h- E2 }6 j. s- sPosition:& @' \; q8 @% M: A) \" f W- z
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006. $ I9 }) ] K4 {( S
There is a 3-month probationary period.
