Key Responsibilities & Duties:

- L5 a/ k6 Y: C6 D5 Y Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
9 [2 Q/ m: D- _& ~ Completing required paperwork.
! J2 [4 o; c" c9 {6 I6 p# ~ Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
/ b5 ?, y, T* Q- @  C' h# v Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
2 s. W& ]* b3 U; z+ m* V Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
' _7 _- x+ S' V) D4 o( l3 t+ Q  A7 f Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

% q2 Y! C/ L1 n3 L
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
" p8 S6 P" B+ F! g" I Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
  V+ y9 N7 q  ? Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
  b( X) }! m4 R( R5 k- J3 h6 NThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
