Key Responsibilities & Duties:

" ]( X* }5 m7 \; h+ } Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
, [- q2 a1 h2 F Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
, {8 |8 i$ p, Y! q/ v$ l' o Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
3 V  g& q4 F; V. ]. l+ Q7 } Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
  L; a, r. U2 C: M3 h Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
) _% [# ^+ a. j$ p% g3 Z Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
: D4 W) R7 _1 ^5 b; w! L Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

6 Y- Z! N9 ^2 {7 u2 f1 K5 W0 | Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
; i- g. ?" r* O Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
+ Y+ t7 l6 \0 k* s Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

# I( }& `( _( G3 ~- h4 xPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
