 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
* J6 m+ L1 u2 ~$ A0 z* f Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
' u$ t/ R4 e* h: Q' J8 X Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
: S( a) @0 H6 Y" L& W7 e7 y Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
" o/ F$ x5 z- R/ B$ C2 ^- o Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
% z1 f, b6 u7 R" s2 l( l& D Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

  A2 r, L1 T% s2 M  w
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
# d  l8 k6 e- t8 L Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
# k6 z0 d* V8 o* M Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
