 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
3 w" O* I  Z0 f& x( S; F Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
: T7 V, F# e" e; v. i Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
* N) u5 k7 [  h5 {' [! Y Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
1 s/ b* h# s3 s+ _. y" O8 z% N Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
; P% C3 `% L: _8 I" B Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
& Y# `! Z9 o: s% p2 U Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
" y: z+ F! m5 D Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
) b! h3 F( b" i: Y6 H& t6 Z/ d Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
- d9 ?' h9 H7 A) ` Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
- [" K/ [3 I0 |* R Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
