Basement building permit

I'm finishing the basement by myself and need to apply basement building permit. I was wondering how much I should claim my basement building value. If I say 5000 $ which pay less inspection fee, does it affect the resale value of my house later? or I say 10000$, pay more inspection fee and property tax now.

# i6 J) D* S3 Ryou shouldn't full finish your basement.you can say that you havn't finished for tolal project, I think less than $5000 if that is being finished by your self include all nonremovable equipment and materials.
