Duties& W9 j9 p8 M0 @ P/ t2 f
Assists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)
9 {) E% ^& m) i+ |3 {6 K0 MProvides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required- w2 I8 }" D# B3 W4 b! w! u% y6 Z
Performs other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed

Qualifications
5 X+ ?( |/ Y! g: u6 W* k! CDiploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred A- b& D( U, y& c# T/ h
Demonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred
2 c/ m, w% V& L8 x% q& d7 eSolid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
4 q7 K" ^1 s1 B: @% R pKnowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred
- |$ h8 j4 W) F& M- m' h4 bFamiliarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit. U* g- s. V$ N
Relevant programming experience using Java, C++, and other programming languages
