! q4 e& [6 g8 N: p3 X; g Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
7 g' v% q3 ]$ V  @( ?& d Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
/ x  I" I8 s3 a Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
" i% ?. L6 I3 n1 v% V1 v5 z! X Social work degree or diploma
8 f/ A  ]6 P/ q' L7 Y# e7 f Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
3 l/ f& W( J6 t. y. i) T Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
4 g% U0 `4 {" h) c( R8 |- N Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
( Y4 L/ w- l) R& B5 c Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
