 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
8 w- G" f& @  o" j) Z1 s3 L& l8 A Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
9 Q9 m( _$ n( m/ G' z" V Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
4 a9 c4 P9 h) m Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

2 d- j* {1 y3 F* U4 P1 y Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
: Y! Q# s+ g9 S* Z4 W% l3 p! B Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
/ p  |) O) b. F7 o. _& j Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
8 S0 q# V( Q! C' l( {" z( N; ~ Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
9 v( n* L  |: n Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
( t' X6 l+ L1 o7 F. k. g, u2 r Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
