We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

Reporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

& N1 B9 g3 |6 S) n6 a- p% e6 I! z) t( I- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

/ J+ ^8 @5 y( U1 {% G0 A2 h- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

$ w9 o3 g) [2 n- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

& f7 I$ u: `' f. U/ p& J% p- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

, p& ^# ]2 ^) d; v" I: M- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;
