 Encourage independence and self determination in newcomers! I. M) m$ q' J8 F
 Work with newcomers in assessing their needs and a needs-based settlement plan.* x2 l4 q3 h3 E2 ?9 D7 m) ^
 Liaise effectively with a range of service providers, both voluntary and statutory, in order to ensure services are available to newcomers.

 Ensure that newcomers know and understand their entitlements.

 Screen and assess clients’ skills and abilities through a workability assessment.
