- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
$ q- d2 Z' t+ Z8 z7 z- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc. J1 w/ Q8 K3 g$ Y) S7 V
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP1 ~; K: g( Q% X8 I
- provide support to ISP staff8 b$ @* ~; V( n1 q: |, q0 {* `4 _ N
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members' ]& A3 L T( u" V" F3 @
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
! G, i4 A% U# J7 m+ Y- b- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated* C8 l$ y8 o& F; _% N1 y
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants+ u' T# V& K4 ~4 {. q) P
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals+ E; t( r& h3 B% @$ q
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder9 c9 r! f% `* x
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.% ^7 I- t* T6 e; t" H$ Z+ o
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
7 W+ e# p. v) i3 r3 I- g: ^0 s- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

Qualifications
# U) l6 f2 K2 X! k- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
+ N) ]$ ?9 _; s: Z3 m- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
- j* O3 ~$ c' M: D! S# J- ~0 ~- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers, `# m V1 o. k9 S3 o, J1 ]
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
0 V3 }' b) @# V2 Q) N- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)& h0 I" C% Y- L/ L8 u N9 k7 {+ l
- good interpersonal and people skills

Salary
