Job Description: S- Y# b$ }" f; m3 k4 X
- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
7 l5 ~+ _' \+ v8 F! Q! j2 a; ]/ v: {- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc. n0 ]0 H. Y' ]3 Y) P
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
- d$ ^, U% @- g P& _4 h0 W- provide support to ISP staff+ Z; q' ^ Y" ^
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members# b K' E! N/ W: ?) t" ^& E8 l
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
3 Y7 | N# A3 f" r q6 `8 _) U; e) ?- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
3 a# ~$ D; n& m- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants

- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder, F1 c7 x) W' w% P
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
$ ^; d; J# A6 b# r4 C- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities1 |; ^6 i, H% J
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

) P" c+ P# t+ I8 p% iQualifications
H3 {6 k( S) @; t- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
7 X; B6 U1 E q$ ?- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
6 ^# k$ h) ~6 X) S. f- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
( C/ T) Z Q% b9 R' {* b1 }: K- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software3 S0 l d" l, ~2 p
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)* z. D8 h2 n7 r1 H
- good interpersonal and people skills- F' X( r3 K8 r$ s% l ?
- good organizational and coordination skills
