1. It's cool.
; Y5 ^# m* x4 _+ B. b3 p( u6 O9 n1 f5 u- [; ~- Y" x6 G
(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard.
    That's cool;he is cool;this is cool.
. Y3 b) ?/ j! |7 R6 c" U  |    Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错), d8 V# j$ o. _& e# B+ y# f
5 A5 n3 t# n! A* V/ o
主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。 T" P, g
    She (He) was cool in the past. , F" N1 V0 b6 N4 j4 b
    That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫)
6 c# H' b  q  x    He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人)   `' x6 I; H1 D8 _" W3 [9 D/ a" g
. \. N8 \( L' W7 M+ W: f
但是如果说:Are you cool?
    She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not $ G9 r  F$ v2 C$ F2 Y
    emotional.
2 f  Z2 n" s& }- n! d* X+ S    (注:许多华人把 cool 译成「很酷」) ! H$ J, ]2 u4 s0 u" p0 R) A
( U( q+ J5 z$ ~9 T+ D8 C, z
2. Are you trippin'?
) ]% Y; ~0 u* y/ a- W1 V+ T; d8 J' Q
这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?)
- }$ V" A+ y* ]. s" i( [    They are trippin'. (= tripping) , T9 d+ @% ~( b  |
    She (he) is trippin'.
( o# z" E# f) Q. O7 {9 T; \5 lMr. A must be trippin'. / _+ k- M. K% g: f
* C+ v: I$ u- M: D. E% ?
+ b" C) Z+ c) {/ O' s  A, I% R
3. He is a nerd
  n5 R8 n6 T& P5 d/ Z' y* Y# @) Q3 g/ F% ]  @0 u- S7 G4 l
(A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.)
9 X! H8 X) d2 Y* J4 X    He used to be a nerd in high school 7 d, Y7 P% B6 Q
( P3 I( u% i2 L( E* T' J
4. Yo baby% f* Y, |# Z8 |2 A) s) ?9 u/ F2 T/ _+ r

(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说: 0 f2 T! ?* l* v, m
Yo baby, are you trippin'?
May I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before.
    Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?) 4 h: q0 o' O6 U% A$ ^6 i  B) T

$ @3 Y1 E- W# Y* R1 y) x5. She is a ho. A+ O3 h5 p' Q  [+ l. K
: o9 |% f' Z4 }( {
(a girl or woman gives sex freely without charge),也就是说:She is very loose. 或 She is a loose woman (girl)。
3 q% M0 D. U- j8 H( B: \: N0 C& i* v    They are (were) hos.
1 }4 j" F* E% ?8 q/ j    There are quite a few hos in high schools. (a girl or woman is paid for sex.) % D! B& c+ p  Z

! a4 Z& f$ _  r) T6 p6. Catch you later!
5 D; r( `& y% t; N, ^$ Y2 _" _1 ~# y2 s4 k' G" ]& X
(a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等)
, |, Q3 t6 @: R& G有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again. 5 s# O5 b3 {4 |6 n
