Over last decade, I have used many window upgrade companies. Here are some of my suggestions:
* g6 H* g/ Z& e- You really need triple-pane windows ,not only for the sound proof, but for the Edmonton winter. The price is not much differnt from double-pane but the performance almost doubled;
& @* f! B- L7 m& m' u' F- I have tried many brands of windows, Hometech, Economic Windows, All-Weather windows, Jeldwen (by Home Depot). The best would be Hometech. All-weather is also good but the price is too high lately. I just had one big bay-window by Economic Windows in this April. Looks great but don't know how good for the real winter.& C- L" Y8 o& ?+ V* @
- Stay away from craps like Durabuilt or Sunrise Windows. Cheap stuff.! f( L3 _8 [! ]7 U3 q- R
