Over last decade, I have used many window upgrade companies. Here are some of my suggestions:: l$ q) x! T" u5 w' C( k
- You really need triple-pane windows ,not only for the sound proof, but for the Edmonton winter. The price is not much differnt from double-pane but the performance almost doubled;
+ G" b: m& B% V) n# P- I have tried many brands of windows, Hometech, Economic Windows, All-Weather windows, Jeldwen (by Home Depot). The best would be Hometech. All-weather is also good but the price is too high lately. I just had one big bay-window by Economic Windows in this April. Looks great but don't know how good for the real winter.
: `, |, n* C! I/ ]' R& ]- Stay away from craps like Durabuilt or Sunrise Windows. Cheap stuff.
