Position:        Youth Leader
/ A$ @8 b* q. {( ADuration of Commitment:Summer T.A.N.G. Youth Program
Camp 1 – July 04 – July 14
% g0 j1 m' Z7 i! J; O* GCamp 2 – July 31 – August 11 (must attend an overnight camp on August 10 to 11)
2 U( P  n4 \7 J; aTime:0915 to 1600(Regular Program Time)
*might work in other time in some specific days
Place: ASSIST Community Services Centre

Duties:
To assist the T.A.N.G. Youth Program Coordinator by providing clerical and/or activities support in the followings:

 Distribution of promotion flyers to schools, churches, communities and relevant social agencies and professionals
 Take attendance if available
/ m0 r8 I/ @; m" F+ [ Provide positive modelling to youth
' y% Q/ G% A- L8 H/ z Facilitate or assist in ice-breaking games and/or other activities
& Y: K4 C4 v- Y" X, m3 E Facilitate or assist in small group discussions
 Research activities related to the session’s topic upon advice of the Program Coordinator
 Watch out on the safety of youth either in centre or fieldtrips
 Report to the Program Coordinator for any doubts or concerns and/or any troubleshoot behaviour
 Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program Coordinator
 Must follow guidelines or procedures stipulated in the manual/training
% I# [& N5 R1 T" j& ?- t; j* d Attend debriefing sessions/ongoing training
 Assist in program planning/design
* N3 V8 g! q+ ]% x6 ? Any other program related tasks as assigned by the Program Coordinator

. @8 G4 R2 Y8 u$ J1 e# q/ t/ t6 M Mature, sensible, patient, organized, willing to take and follow instruction
 Be open and willing to initiate and maintain a positive relationship with youths in the program, or youth who is matched on an one-on-one basis
 A team player, can get along well with other staff & volunteers
 Concentrate efforts in the group session or activities over other distractions
 Able to work independently with minimum supervision
 Value building on strengths in children, youth and families
 Able to get along with youth and/or youth who might at risk
 Certain proficiency in English and Chinese
